Time to dust off this page :)

I've spent so much time updating pics on  my Facebook page that I've neglected to update this page.  And now seeing as my brother has encouraged me to jump on Twitter too....more to update :)...But more information is better than no information right?

So since August what have I been up to?
- A Samoan Wedding :)
- The Launch of a Church's new name
- Birthday parties
- Children's Portraits

and setting up my new workspace.  I am excited about what's coming up.  An intimate wedding in Masterton later this month, another wedding in December and many bookings confirmed for January, March and May next year.

Another big event coming up is "The Carpenter's House" Family Portrait Fundraiser.  Last year it was such a success that we took the fundraiser to Auckland.

A SPECIAL FAMILY....

I finally got the opportunity to provide a special family shoot for Maria Wright and her gorgeous boys Solomon, Logan and Levi.  These boys are so gorgeous and definitely made me earn my time that day.  So many close calls that day especially with the little ones running away from us.

Meeting Maria and hearing her story definitely put things into perspective for me.  Lesson learnt that day - appreciate the time you have with your family.....AND EXERCISE TO CATCH THE LITTLE TIGERS THAT RUN AWAY FROM YOU DURING A SHOOT! :)

He will GROW to be a STRONG MAN!

I enjoyed my shoot today with gorgeous little Starr-Jermayne.  What a handsome little guy!!  I can imagine how hard it is for the pro's to NOT pick up these gorgeous kids and give cuddles.

So here I introduce a little guy who will grow to be a very strong man....Starr-Jermayne, 4 months old.

Introducing little Kamryn....

Despite today being such a typical Wellington day...cold and wet...looking into gorgeous Kamryn's eyes simply warmed my heart :).  Her gorgeous mum Christina was such a treasure, ever so patient with me and doing what mums do best when settling her little one.

Being a busy mum and now mother of four, Christina owns "The Swish Dish" in Lower Hutt.  If you are ever in Wellington, it is a must to check out this place.  I have been going for years and love it! :) http://www.theswishdish.co.nz/

MOTHER'S DAY COMPETITION ANNOUNCEMENT and NEW PICS TO SHARE!

It was awesome to read so many comments about your nominations! I was really impressed with the love from families and friends, but even from strangers who may not have known the nominees personally but were willing to support others who deserved to have something good happen to them! That's what I love about our people, our fellow-Kiwis, always willing to help each other out. On that note, I would like to announce that Journey Fetuia'i as the overall winner of our Mother's Day Competition! I look forward to meeting the little tiger!! I am also offering a SPECIAL SESSION for Maria Wright and her boys. I was really touched by what was shared about Maria and the journey that she has had. I look forward to meeting with her and her boys soon also!!

This past weekend, I have been busy with attending our national church conference. I was touched by the beautiful images that I saw over the weekend, that I couldn't resist but to capture these moments so that they could be shared with you. I was so blessed by what I witnessed over the weekend. The yearning that was poured out of the hearts of our youth, and seeing our Pastors falling to their knees in reverence showed a human side to these servants! So blessed. I hope you see in these images the special moments that I saw...Feel free to leave a comment xx

Drizzle and Trees...

I drive past a row of trees everyday on my way to and from work and I always think to myself that it would be a great place to take some portraits.  However, today's weather brings us some drizzle but that didn't stop me from trying.  Hanging out with my sister (in-law) today we took about 20 mins to quickly strike some poses beneath the trees.  Not bad for a quick mini-shoot.  Here are a few more pics from today's shoot...

Photobooks, Photobooks and more Photobooks...

I am really starting to get the hang of creating these.  As long as it takes for me to create these precious books for my clients/families/friends I am happy with the result. My only hope is that they are happy with these too.

Imagine your guests, old friends, family from oversesas having dinner with you and your family and they ask to see some photo albums.  How cool will it be for you to pull out a one and only, original, custom made photobook of your family's portraits?

I recently completed a very special photobook for a young mum and her 5 month old daughter.  I can't wait to present this to them.  Beautiful girl.  See my pics below of them..Millie & Caprie...

With Mother's day coming up, it's a great gift to give. I'm excited about this Fridays shoot - my little sister (in-law)....I call her Lizbet :)  She is such a talented songwriter, singer, musician and she's only 16.  Blessed with the gift to put beautiful lyrics to music.  She has written a few songs already.  I hope to one day feature her music on my page.

Gorgeous little Caprie...

Exciting Project coming up....

I am excited to tell you that I will have something very special to share with you very soon.  I am having a very special shoot with my sister, whom I love to bitsies.  I have some ideas that I would like to try with her, keeping in mind her personality and her God-given talent to write some beautiful songs.  I would like for these images to reflect who she is as a song-writer!

I also have some bookings scheduled for later this month which I will be eager to share with you.
