Great Things...Big Plans

What a busy year 2012 will be.  I have just started back at my regular job, working 2 full days a week.  I love my job...and yet I love my expensive hobby too :)  I feel really blessed to be able to do both right now.

So I have been busy with so many portraits taken already and it's only the 3rd month of the year as well as having done my 3rd wedding of the year :)  Next wedding will be an Easter one which I think is fitting for new beginnings :).

Here are a few images from family sessions and weddings I've done so far :)

Metro City Wedding in the Capital

Leading up to the weekend, it had been raining in the capital.  So naturally one would prepare oneself for such weather on the big day.  So researching I did and alternative ideas I came up with but in all honesty I absolutely believed that it was going to be a beautiful sunny day.  It rained around midnight the night before the wedding and in times like these there's only one thing you can do....Pray!  And it was answered....

Rocky & Nicole's day was beautiful.  It was blue skies, bright sunshine all day.  I scoped metro locations before heading into the venue.  The first one I visited didn't feel right to me, so I continued on and discovered other gorgeous metro locations that suited the style that Nicole described to me would be her ideal and when I saw the bridesmaids walking down the aisle I knew... I picked right :)

Despite having been together for 10 years, nothing would've prepared Rocky for the sight of beauty that was to walk down the aisle on the arm of his future-father-in-law.  I believe that when bridesmaids walk down the aisle ahead of their gorgeous bride it gives the groom and everyone else an idea of what's to come and I tell you I found it difficult to keep my camera and my jaw up.  I was taken back by how gorgeous Nicole's bridesmaids were and new in that instance that Nicole was going to be a vision of perfection.  And she was....so gorgeous...I didn't recognise her or her bridesmaids.

The rest of the day followed through with such ease and little stress that you knew behind all of this were some great people organising the event.  My hat goes off to anyone planning their big day.  To everyone involved it is not an easy task.  This is one of the most precious weddings I have been to....

Here is a clip of a few images from Rocky & Nicole's beautiful wedding....Congratulations...and thank you again for allowing me to capture your day for you!!! xxx  This song was the walk-in song for Nicole.... ;)

Busy Busy Bee...

About 3 weeks ago I travelled to Auckland to visit my family (Yes I am an original blue and white :) ), and when I am in town I take advantage of the opportunity to capture some special moments of some gorgeous people.

I will be posting a few of my favourites pics from these awesome sessions.  I have reunited with some old friends and made some new ones.  Good times were had by all :)

Enjoy this Sevens weekend xxx

Favourites from 2011...

I'm preparing to head to Auckland this week for a number of family portrait sessions, an engagement session, a wedding and potentially an event.  I'm looking forward to my first lot of sessions and the wedding for 2012.
I'm excited about what my lens will capture but more so meeting new families and hopefully new friends :)

I've put together some of my favourite images from 2011.  I look forward to the many images that are waiting for me this year...

Which one of these are your favourites? :)

Enjoy xxx
